For the second time this year, cycling for all takes the spotlight as Smart Communications Larga Pilipinas hits the road once again with a two-day, two-stage race for around 10,000 riders on November 29 and 30 in Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija.
Just like its past editions — from the inaugural 2018 run in Marikina and EDSA-C5 to the recent Guimba and Palayan staging — the race will once again be free of charge, says founder and SPIN.ph contributor Snow Badua.
Originally planned as the “Race to the Northern Alps,” the event was rescheduled for next year due to PAGASA’s forecast of continued La Niña conditions until year-end.
Despite weather challenges, Larga Pilipinas continues its mission to bring back the excitement of local cycling — encouraging both pros and amateurs to get on their bikes and race for passion, pride, and the love of the sport.
